THE recent Pop Northfield Memorial Maiden Final (411m) at Casino did not disappoint with rank outsider Indefatigable living up to her name.

Jumping from box five, the Reg Gardoll-trained Indefatigable ($26.00) never looked like getting beaten.

Raced by the Spookie 8 Syndicate and David Mennie, Indefatigable is by the great producing dog Fernando Bale, out of Spookie Magic.

She was whelped locally by Jamie Hancock and carried the nickname ‘Big Head’ as a pup.

Huge congratulations to all those involved with Indefatigable.

Reg and his son Craig had three young dogs in the Pop Northfield.

Son Of Sennachie ran third and Lil Miss Miles finished a lovely fourth.

Running a close second for trainer Evelyn Harris was Darby Display.

Reg has won the race previously and says he hopes to win it again.

The Pop Northfield Memorial, worth $10,000 to the winner, is a great start to a dog’s career.
