JOHN Catton knows only too well the raw ability and lightning pace possessed by Jasper The Jet.

He knows it so well, he now wants to share it with breeders.

The son of Fernando Bale-Visualize It has been forced onto the sidelines through injury and Catton has decided to give his dog a chance at stud.

\”I\’ll give him a good three or so months off for the back muscle injury to completely heal, but in the meantime I reckon he deserves his chance at stud,\” said Catton.

The dog will stand at a fee of $1100 and semen will be available through Catton and also Sires On Ice.

Jasper The Jet is the winner of 14 races and $57,000. He was second in the Listed Super Sprinters at Albion Park and a finalist in the G3 SA Derby.

But it was the times he could run that will endear Jasper The Jet to broodbitch owners.

He twice won in 29.68 at Albion Park, 28.68 in a heat of the Townsville Cup, 16.79 at Ipswich, 22.34 at Maitland, 19.80 at Capalaba and also won in 29.75 around Albion Park.

His litter brother Spookie Vision was a finalist in the G1 Dapto Megastar and G3 Goulburn Cup.

Jasper is bred in the purple.

His dam, Visualize It (Ivan Brown-Visualization by Surf Lorian), won the G2 Qld Futurity and had her litter sister Super Vision among the finalists. They were littermates to Iva Vision winner of the G2 Sandown Shootout and G3 SA Derby and a finalist in the G1 Brisbane Cup.

It is the famed Travelling Girl female family that has tossed up champions for decades.

Catton says the only way he could describe Jasper The Jet is ‘a machine’.

\”And he would run through a brick wall, he is such a great chaser,\” he said.

\”I believe he has a great deal to offer at stud because of his pedigree, his chase and his natural pace.\”

Jasper will be a natural for daughters of Barcia Bale and having a pedigree absent of any Bombastic Shiraz blood will naturally suit those bitches who carry both. Bitches with Knocka Norris or his sister Elite Oriental (found in Aston Dee Bee) will also suit Jasper.

His mother Visualize It is line bred to Bobniak whose dam Paris Match is from the famed Osti Lee damline. Daughters of Aussie Infrared will suit Jasper because of this.

And, Jasper can certainly take as much Brett Lee bloodlines as possible.

The possibilities, in fact, for him are endless.
