Greyhound Adoption Program Queensland (GAP) will host the 2022 GAP Greyhound National Adoption Month and celebrate with an Open Day on Saturday, April 30, at its South East Queensland GAP facility at Churchable.

This year the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission GAP is throwing open its doors to show off their facility including the GAP learning space, veterinary surgery, the kennels and the free run space. The GAP team will be available to answer questions about the adoption and foster process, general greyhound behaviour and understanding their medical needs.

The GAP program is looking to adopt as many greyhounds as possible throughout April. Potential adopters are welcome to check out the GAP website (gapqld.com.au) to see our dogs available for adoption.

The program is committed to successfully and consistently placing the right greyhound into the right home environment. This is achieved by getting to know each greyhound individually and through comprehensive and ongoing behavioural assessments.

The GAP team would also like to encourage greyhound owners and trainers to explore our facility and find out about the intake process for your greyhounds including information about how to prepare your greyhound for the GAP pre-assessment.

GAP Queensland will host the 2022 GAP Greyhound National Adoption Month and Open Day along with facility tours at the GAP South East Queensland facility at 985 Atkinson Dam Road, Churchable.

To keep us all COVID safe, tours must be pre-booked. For more information and to book a tour contact the GAP team on 1300 087 021 or visit the GAP website (gapqld.com.au).
