Help keep our industry on track

The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission reminds you that it is everyone’s responsibility to help keep racing integrity on track.

Racing Integrity Commissioner Ross Barnett said the Commission continues to ask that if you see or hear of any wrongdoing in the industry to report it.

“It is the Commission’s experience, that those racing participants who are invested in the longevity of greyhound racing, report the most on the Commission’s Report Something line or portal on the website. Most reports to the Commission come from inside the racing industry,” he said.

  • It is up to all of us to ensure that racing is fair, and that animal welfare is paramount.
  • If you have any information about the mistreatment of racing greyhounds, report it.
  • If you have any information about race-fixing, report it.

Mr Barnett said the easiest way to make a report is via the Commission’s web form on the QRIC website at qric.qld.gov.au.  Look for the maroon boxes.

“You can also telephone the Report Something team on 1300 119 291,” he said.

“If you want us to act on the information you provide, the Commission’s investigators need as many details as you can provide to assist them.

“If you fill in the blanks it leaves them with less guess work.

“The investigators would also appreciate it if you provided details including ‘who’, ‘how’, ‘where’ and what the investigators can do to get to the bottom of your issue.

The Commission also gives you the opportunity to report to the Commission anonymously – including if you telephone your report into the team.

“This is your sport and your livelihood, so help keep it on track.”
