‘He’s changed our lives’

\"\"Caption: Brian is relaxed and at home with his family on the Gold Coast.

\”IT\’S one of the best things we\’ve done,\” says Gold Coast couple Mike and Miok.

They were commenting on their adoption of a \’beautiful  black dog\’ from the Queensland GAP operation at Churchable 12 months ago.

\”We couldn\’t have asked for a better dog,\” said Miok.

The couple knew they had a good one when Brian (race name Black Paws)  immediately settled down on the back seat of the car and hardly moved during the trip back to the Coast.

\”He settled in to his new environment amazingly well ,\” they said.

\”He\’s a lovely dog, affectionate, playful … and  a wonderful companion.\”

Miok added: \”He\’s changed our lives. We go walking around the neighbourhood most nights and along the Broadwater at weekends.

\”He loves his trips in the car.\”

The only thing the couple didn\’t like was his name.

Not a fan of Brian, they called him Jeong – a Korean word meaning affection – and he took to it very quickly.

These days Jeong spends his days lazing around the yard, while at night he stretches out on the rug in front of the TV or with the couple in their study rooms before it\’s off to sleep on his single bed mattress in the garage.
