STEVE Williams has always been a greyhound breeder to stick by his own bloodlines and it has worked wonders for him.
So it was no surprise when he recently mated two quality race bitches to his own stud dogs.
Velocity Tonelli (Barcia Bale-Velocity Melita) won 13 races during her career on the track and she has just whelped a litter of one dog and three bitches to Steve’s sensational, but luckless, Derby winner Sentenced.
The son of Jury was bound for stardom and won the Qld Derby impressively before breaking down. Steve has put his faith in the dog and the Velocity Tonelli litter is testament to that.
Eight of the nine in Velocity Tonelli’s litter were winners including Velocity Dora (20 wins).
The mating to Sentenced is “fabulous” and brings in three of the damlines Steve has been using with great success for years.

BACK in 2018, Velocity Liberty (Fernando Bale-Velocity Sofia) was the toast of Wentworth Park when she led throughout to win the G1 Peter Mosman. It was one of eight wins for the bitch who earned $103,000.
All eight of her litter were prolific winners.
Velocity Liberty has a one-pup litter by Aton Dee Bee, Mando (12 wins), now racing, but she has just whelped a two-dog and three-bitch litter by Williams’ proven G1 performer and Group sire Jury.
Just like the Sentenced-Velocity Tonelli litter, this is also saturated with proven Williams graduates.

LIBBY’S Girl was a pretty smart race bitch right from the time the daughter of Fernando Bale-Velocity Mist started racing.
She won the Eric Thomson Maiden and was a finalist in the Rising Stars both at Albion Park.
In 58 starts she won 22 and $70,000. Also in her litter was the classy Mayoress (12 wins, $70,000) and Transgenic (7 wins, $31,000).
Now Libby’s Girl has produced a litter of two dogs and three bitches by Mepunga Blazer.
It is a great cross because it brings in the Barcia Bale-Fernando Bale “nick” but a further reinforcement of the Wheeler bloodlines through the direct damline of Blazer.

HOW tough was Tipsy Four (My Bro Fabio-Bonnie’s Dream) who started 124 times winning 18 and being placed 48 times for stakes of $62,000.
For Danny Preh she set a Townsville track record and ran third in a G3 Townsville Cup.
She has just whelped three dogs and six bitches to Aussie Infrared and the cross brings in several proven links that have made Aussie a great stud success.
Aussie’s second wave of youngsters are hitting the tracks now and adding to the great success he has already had at stud with the likes of Lala Kiwi, Zipping Kyrgios, Catch The Thief, Ebby Infrared etc.

CAPALABA Futurity finalist, Riverboat Queen (Fernando Bale-Slip Sliding), was a tough campaigner for Warren Nicholls.
He will be hoping for the same with a litter of three dogs and three bitches she has just whelped to Dyna Double One.
Four of Riverboat Queen’s litter were double-figure winners on the track and their dam Slip Sliding is the dam, to Keybow, of Group class Embye and the slick Queen Werina etc.
The mating to Dyna Double One introduces SEVEN crosses of the Wheeler family’s famous Gail’s Beauty damline.

MIDDLE Trucker might have won only five of her 77 race starts and had what many would believe an “obscure” pedigree, but she is proving a broodbitch of success.
By Ice Trucker-Senorita Abbi, Middle Trucker carries the direct damline of Queensland legend Kirsty’s First and in her sireline the damline of legend sire Kinloch Brae and such Aussie stars as Destini Fireball. Her third dam Lady Kero was a star Qld stayer.
Middle Trucker’s litter brother, Ice Cool Kaedyn, was a finalist in the G2 Traralgon Cup and a multiple city winner of 23 races, and Geelong Oaks winner Gordette.
Middle Trucker has already proven herself at stud with a litter by US sire Kinda Cruel Red having five in the litter and all are winners including Little Nellie (17 wins, $31,000). That litter contained some strong in-breeding to Kinloch Brae’s family.
Now Middle Trucker has whelped two dogs and four bitches in a mating to Fernando Bale and it brings in some great line breeding. Middle Trucker is proving herself at stud.

FLYING Yuna could gallop.
The daughter of Kinloch Brae-Queen Yuna proved that with a powerful 710m win at Albion Park among her 11 victories for $40,000 in stakes.
She has just whelped six dogs and one bitch to a mating to Tommy Shelby and it is a fascinating mating.
And timely.
Flying Yuna’s second dam is former NSW GOTY Double Twist who is also second dam of the recent G1 Peter Mosman Opal winner Embrace. Greg Deering bred the litter.
It is a fabulous mating with many, many proven crosses especially the 3×4 of full relations Bit Chili and Tifi.

BRENT Kline’s bitch Shilo (Fernando Bale-Keune) is royally bred and her 11 wins and $39,000 in stakes proves her worth at stud. Six of her litter were racetrack successes.
They are all bred on the highly proven Fernando Bale-Barcia Bale cross.
Shilo has whelped seven dogs and one bitch to her mating to Aussie Infrared and that mating too brings in Aussie’s proven record with bitches that carry Barcia Bale.
That’s how his G1 stars Catch The Thief and Playlist are bred.
